EMPOWER RADIO CHALLENGES LISTENERS TO LIVE THEIR TRUTH WITH JACOB NORDBY'S NEW WEEKLY PROGRAM, "BLESSED ARE THE WEIRD."

Southfield, MI (April 29, 2013) -Jacob Nordby, accomplished author and creative coach, invites Empower Radio listeners to take a weekly excursion into unique genius and empowerment with his new 30-minute program, "Blessed Are the Weird," beginning Friday, May 3 at 2pm (ET)/11 am (PT).

Inspired by a quote that Nordby himself penned in 2012 that has since been shared hundreds of thousands of times over on various social media platforms, his new "Blessed Are The Weird" radio show will encourage listeners to be their authentic selves no matter how "weird" or different it may make them feel at the outset.

"It's not about being different for the sake of being different," says Nordby. "It's about embracing our authentic selves, to be real in the world, and learn that's what it means to make real magic."

The quote itself is as follows: "Blessed are the weird people -- poets, misfits, writers, mystics, painters, troubadours - for they teach us to see the world through different eyes."

"I really think Jacob is a rising voice in the world of conscious awareness and living with intention," says Brent Carey, President/CEO of Empower Radio.

Nordby will kick off his debut show about redefining normal on May 3rd with a challenge to the audience: "Live your truth." He passionately believes that everyone has genius waiting to be revealed and that it often requires leaving the herd behind.

Each show will blend humor, inspiration and a challenge to the audience to share their finest stuff with the world. Regular segments of Nordby's show will include messages from "The Department of Mirth," "Bureau of Internal Truth and Beauty" and "Ministry of Everyday Magic."

Jacob Nordby is the author of The Divine Arsonist: A Tale of Awakening, co-author of two other books and is currently working on his second novel.  Jacob lives in Boise, Idaho, where he can often be found muttering to himself during long walks by the river or chatting with fascinating people in coffee shops.  He is convinced that everyone contains divine magic and that it his mission is to help us see it.
