Aspire Magazine selected her memoir, Raw, for its monthly “Top Ten Inspirational Books,” and it won a silver medal in the “Mind, Body, Spirit” category at this year’s Benjamin Franklin Book Awards. Carter just completed her next project, Where Do You Hang Your Hammock? How to Find Freedom and Peace of Mind While You Write, Publish, and Promote Your Book. Carter’s work has appeared in dozens of print and online journals, including The Sun and Mind, Body, Green; on Jane Friedman’s blog; and in several anthologies.
