Jacob Nordby joins me for this edition of Begin With Yes to discuss his new book, The Divine Arsonist. – life lessons learned and shared. Jacob Nordby is an author, speaker, conscious entrepreneur and personal transformation mentor.
He is published with Jack Canfield in Pearls of Wisdom: 30 Inspirational Ideas to Live Your Best Life Now, with Dr. Bernie M. Siegel in The Thought That Changed My Life, has written the forthcoming spiritual novel, The Divine Arsonist: A Tale of Awakening and is currently writing, The Cosmic Compass: An Adventure of Inner Guidance.

Jacob was born to hippie parents in 1973. As an infant, they moved him from California to Boise, Idaho and converted to fundamentalist Christianity. He was raised in a rigid ideology, homeschooled and didn’t dance, drink, smoke or watch television.
A natural seeker, Jacob began exploring success, psychology and spirituality as a teenager. As a young adult, he broke away from his early religious influences and plunged into business. He co-founded a mortgage company, a real-estate investment firm and a technology business.
After years of chasing success, he discovered that the path he had taken was leading far away from his inner purpose. The financial melt-down of 2008 caused him to liquidate—and opened space for a new journey of personal discovery. He evaluated all the stuck places in his life and began the process of losing weight, regaining health and enjoying inner peace. He co-founded a charity community fitness effort called Fat For Food to benefit the Idaho Food Bank and volunteered with Troy McClain on the 2008 Special Olympics. In 2009, he moved to Austin, TX and began his writing career.
He authored a spiritual novel, The Divine Arsonist—a tale of awakening, and is working on more novels at this time. Jacob spoke at the Divine Feminine Conference at the University of Texas and founded YourAwakenedSelf.com. Jacob has identified the purpose of his life as follows: I am a passionate pilgrim. I am here to experience all of life—to learn and teach, to work and love. Jacob lives in various places around the world with his amazing wife and three beautiful children. His other projects include public speaking, coaching and co-founding a new platform-development site for other authors with his partner, Thayne Rigby.
