Being discovered by well known on air personality and actor Jay Thomas is only the beginning of Mark O'Toole's amazing journey. While in Boston he would call his friend a local DJ on WVBF-FM, it was there that Thomas invited Mark to Hollywood to be a part of his nationally syndicated radio show. While there he missed his first love singing. After moving to Las Vegas Mark appeared on Star Search in 1994 and won, beating out a five time winner. That caught the attention of the Vegas establishment where Mark started his career. While enjoying his fame and popularity in Las Vegas Mark was diagnosed with lymphoma and was given only a few weeks to live. Undaunted by his diagnosis he vowed to beat the disease, and after months of chemo Mark was told he was in remission. Mark shares his story of hope and prayer, and gives The Cancer Warrior world exclusive information about his new album The Crooner.

Mel Majoros, currently in remission, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007. On a lucky break after her cancer surgery she was offered a job as a producer on a local talk sports show in Michigan where she advocates about cancer and other health related topics. She brings a unique perspective to being a survivor, always keeping a positive attitude and an athletes mentality for dealing with cancer and survivorship. Prior to working in radio Mel was a 10 year veteran of the television industry working on such shows as Walker, Texas Ranger and Crossing Jordan.
