When Renee wanted to raise funds, she was disappointed that you could only raise money for non profits and not for individuals. She and her friend Ethan who had raised money for a major non-profit in a marathon, thought there should be an easier way for marathon runners to raise money for any charity—not just the registered partners. Ethan talks about how he and Renee founded Give Forward, a unique website that supports friends and family in their time of need.

Mel Majoros, currently in remission, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007. On a lucky break after her cancer surgery she was offered a job as a producer on a local talk sports show in Michigan where she advocates about cancer and other health related topics. She brings a unique perspective to being a survivor, always keeping a positive attitude and an athletes mentality for dealing with cancer and survivorship.
