Empower Radio : Empowering You for a Better Life!: "S is For Shaman" "S is For Shaman" ================================================================================ Corbie Mitleid on 07/02/2013 19:35:00 Richard Malz has been doing shamanic work since before he knew he was a shaman. A beatific bear of a man, brilliantly compassionate, Richard is superb at teaching people how to "ground, center and shield" to get through today's World of Crazy. He is also a deliriously happy father to Ben, a one-year-old shaman-in-training, and will talk to us about raising magical children. [Click Here to Listen] Even at a young age, Richard Malz knew how to help people. Often giving advice to adults and teachers, Richard seemed to be able to offer wisdom that came from somewhere else. It wasn't until Richard was older and began to receive training that he realized he had been channeling for most of his life. During his early twenties, Richard became a Reiki Master. Training for Reiki was just another step that made sense for Richard. Reiki is a way of facilitating healing by channeling universal life force energy. Richard is able to offer healing through Reiki and training to those who want to learn more. During his early thirties, Richard met Chief Tuebear, Peace Chief of the Four Directions, and his wife Ocie Wolffe. There was an immediate connection. Chief Tuebear was an “old-new friend”. Richard became their Warrior and part of their family. Through working with them and learning, Richard went from having self-doubt about his gifts to knowing that his gifts are real and tangible. One of the profound changes for Richard, as for many, happened on September 11, 2001. As a New Yorker, he felt compelled to go and do whatever he could to help. He initially went because he felt that there were still people alive and he wanted to help find them. He ended up at the Jacob Javits center helping volunteers working at ground zero. H did a variety of healing modalities on anyone who needed it. He would offer massage, Reiki, and give spirit guided counseling. He often spent 30+ hours a week for four months while also working a fulltime job. The experience helped him become more sensitive to an individual’s experience. Everyone processes similar experiences in different ways. This taught Richard that each individual needs their own path for healing. Richard believes the end of the Mayan calendar signifies a shift where all things are possible. There are limitless possibilities available to those who are willing to make it happen. Richard is available for healing sessions, intuitive readings, psychic surgery, rhythm therapy and other modalities. Richard is also available for booking of psychic parties, drum circles, workshops and shamanic journeys. Depending on the service, Richard is available via phone or skype, some healing modalities must be done in person. www.richardmalz.com
