Following her diagnosis, Dusty Donaldson's priorities changed. Although she initially intended to complete her MBA, lung cancer advocacy became her unquenchable passion. Since then, Dusty has been advocating, conducting media interviews, writing newspaper and magazine articles and op-ed pieces, organizing awareness events and fundraising. She served as a volunteer with various organizations for four years, including the American Cancer Society, the National Lung Cancer Partnership, WFU Baptist Medical Center, Cancer Services and Lung Cancer Alliance. The natural next step was for her to put her education, experience and passion to work by starting a nonprofit dedicated to sharing knowledge and increasing compassion about the No. 1 cancer killer.
