She is a peer-reviewed acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) trainer and a functional analytic psychotherapy (FAP) trainer. Aisling is co-director of Act Now Purposeful Living. She has been at the forefront of spreading evidence-based skills to the general public and those within mental health settings over the past 10 years. Aisling teaches on a variety of University programs, including Trinity College Dublin to doctorate level.  She regularly gives workshops and trainings worldwide, most notably at Harvard Medical School.  Aisling’s passion is making complex concepts easy to understand and apply. She is always looking for new ways to break out of her comfort zone and help others to do the same.

TrishLeonardCurtin.350_852926443.jpgDr. Trish Leonard-Curtin is a psychologist, trainer and lecturer. Having struggled with mental health challenges in her own life, including in-patient admissions in psychiatric care, Trish re-trained as a psychologist.  She is co-director of Act Now Purposeful Living. Trish has extensive experience of working with trauma and psychological distress in adolescents and adults across a broad range of settings. She values the role of mindfulness in daily life and her therapeutic work. Trish’s passion is reaching underserved populations who often do not get adequate access to psychological supports for mental health challenges.  She is keen to destigmatize speaking up about mental health and promote an environment where we can be a lot more open and accepting about our struggles. She continues to train in mindfulness interventions and co-facilitates mindfulness based workshops in a broad range of settings.
